Cardiac rehabilitation goals
Cardiac rehabilitation (rehab) is comprised of medical programs designed to restore the physical and psychological condition of patients who have recently experienced a cardiac event.
Cardiac rehabilitation targets patients who have experienced:
- Heart failure;
- Recent heart attack or some other cardiac event;
- Heart surgery or angioplasty;
- Arrhythmia or implantation of a pacemaker / defibrillator.
